Welcome to St. Aloysius,
This year we are starting August 30th School will begin each day @8:00am and end at 3:00pm. My doors open at 7:50am , and close by 3:15pm. The first days of school August 30, 31st and September 1st.will be early dismissal. This will give your child a chance to acclimate to the class and routines.
I understand that the first day of Tk4 will be hard for you and your child. Your child may cry, and that's ok. Your child may either adapt quickly or struggle a little in the beginning. In either case, they look up to you to reassure them that everything will be fine. Here are things you can do to make it easier for your child:
-Act positive. If they see YOU nervous or crying then they will do the same.
- Make your goodbyes short a
and sweet. You will park your car in the playground and walk your child to my classroom . You will also need to pick up your child from my classroom too. Only someone from the list will be allowed to pick up and drop off.
- Be honest, tell your child the truth. Let them know you will pick them up after you get off from work, or that you will pick them up after they finish school. PLEASE do not tell them you are going to the store or that you'll be right outside waiting for them. This only makes them feel anxious and lose trust.
- Most importantly talk about school in a positive way. Act and be excited about bringing them, and they will be excited too. Remind them that school is fun, and that they will get to play, learn, sing, and dance.
Remember you are their first teacher, and together we can make this a GREAT year!!!
Things to Remember
-backpacks will be allowed for storing their blanket and pillow
. Make sure shoes are easy for the child to put on , on their own. Shoe Laces ARE NOT ALLOWED.
-all student must wear uniform shirt or Uniform sweater everyday. Please write your child's name on the inside to prevent loss.
-writes child's name on water cups and lunch bags too
